pretty cool! Dr Fate looks perfect, Hawkman looks a lil weird but I won't judge too harshly until I see the show... when is this coming on anyway?

Stargirl looks like shit. How the hell did the producers think it would be a good idea to make her costume LESS tight and skimpy? Bastards

wow this looks lame as hell

These costumes look TERRIBLE!

Stop translating my childhood comic book heroes to the small screen, if you don't have the budget to make it look cool, don't bloody do it!!!!

Star Girl looks like she swallowed a wasp and hey, Michael Shanks, you remember when you left SG1 to go be the next big thing? Your FAILURE still makes me laugh... although your wife is hot, so touche

...Is this the 60's or something?! This is Batman the original TV series levels of camp! I thought that the recent spate of more 'realistic' comic book/super hero films would have inspired the creators to at least have something contemporary looking...like black leather or something less goofy!

It's time for people to realise that this steaming pile of a series is why they took so long to do a supes reboot.. then they rush it to not interfere with this series so we end up with Singers Donner BJ

I'd tap all the women in this series.... except fir the current evil girl.... same facial expression every scene, how'd you know if she was enjoying the shag?

This looks horrible. I'm hoping this is a scene of Oliver having a bad dream at a costume party.

There is absolutely no pleasing you haters. If they make the costumes look different, you omplain, if they make them look like they were created, you complain. IT'S A EGYPTIAN WITH F'N WINGS-- How do you do that and not make it look cheesy Pygar?? It's people running around in tights-- what do you want.

So what happened to the "No Tights, No Flights" rule in Smallville?

Posted By: LordLyingScorpion (Guest)  on November 29, 2009 at 08:10 PM

I personally love the Dr. Fate outfit. Spot on. Star girl looks a little off to me. As for hawkman, I have no issue with the costume, it's the actor playing. His body style is all wrong. Hawkman is all lean, cut & muscular. This guy does not look imposing at all.

when the original creators were driven off in shame for destroying their own series, the new creative staff came in and basically said "fuck that" to the stupid garbage like "no tights, no flights"

Attention people that are complaining without thinking. The heroes being introed in this movie, are old, they were heroes in the 50's I believe and have only re-emerged to help, so of course they seem out of touch for costume, and 40 yrs will lighten even Hawkman. So either use common sense or don't bother watching.

As was previously said, the storyline in the show will be that these are some of the JSA members from the past; around the 1950's. That's why they look the way they do.

Perhaps if you watched or followed the show you wouldn't be complaining about them sticking to the source material on this particular subject.

What I think the lesson here is that literal translations from comic books look stupid. Take a lesson purists.

Since the darker grittier tone, these types of cheesy looking superheroes just don't fit in. I mean the Green Arrow barely just 'passes' without looking to ridiculous... but this is to much.

I like the retro idea of it but it's come at the wrong time in the Series history.

Though this does show that if they are happy to stick to the origins of these characters they may very well stick Clark in the classic suit eventually and not some modern unique version.

Reminds me of the original Fantastic Four movie

These COSTUMES Are PERFECT! IF anyone was a real fan of DC, they would know that JLS is Not JLA! JLS is the 1950s or so, so the costume fit perfectly in that time frame AND they LOOK Cool!!!! Leather muscles and metal looking mask, c'mon you losers, wake up! These costumes are great and the girl is supposed to be covered in the 1950s and Hawkman is flawless, F you losers! Dont watch the show, the show is made for fans, not for you haters!!!!
